Multi-seeded Crackers

Super easy and simple recipe to make artisan crackers that are packed with flavor and crunch

Makes around 50 crackers

2 ½ Tbsps Extra Virgin olive oil

1 ¼ tsp salt

1 Tbsp molasses or honey or maple syrup or silan

500 ML water (2 cups)

1 tsp ZAATAR

1 cup spelt or rye flour

1 cup rolled oats (large)

½ cup sesame seeds

¾ cup flax seeds

½ cup sunflower seeds

¼ cup Nigella seeds

·         Preheat oven to 180 F degrees (350 C)

·         In a large bowl mix all ingredients together. It will look like a sludgy mess. Don’t worry.

·         Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Divide the dough in half and spread the batter to cover the entire tray. Don’t be afraid to go thin-the thinner the crispier the crackers.

·         Sprinkle with the nigells seeds.

·         Place trays in oven.

·         After ten minutes remove and cut with the pizza slicer into squares or sticks.

·         Lower the temperature of the oven to 150  or 300 and place back into oven to dry out for another 45 minutes.

NOTE: These crackers are highly addictive and can be made in advance,

GLUTEN FREE: replace flour with almond flour.
